Local Travel Inspiration – Rome tips by Locals!

Last month I listed 5 tips from our locals in Prague and this month it’s also time for some new tips from one of our 41 Spotted by Locals blogs. These blogs are filled with representative and frequently updated tips from the locals!

Today: Tips by our Locals from Rome (Italy).

Cavour 313 (by Eleonora Baldwin)

1.) Cavour 313
“This place never fails.” is really all that needs to be said about this spot in Rome, close to the Colosseum.

2.) Exclusive Roof Gardens
“Especially when “above” means a lovely, exclusive, secluded terrace. Terraces and roof gardens are a must in Rome, a status symbol, a distinctive sign of prestige and exclusivity. […] I have selected for you the most beautiful terraces and roof gardens to enjoy a drink, shoot lovely photos or simply kiss your other half […]”, plenty of reasons and options from local Barbara Marcotulli to visit around Rome’s Colosseum.

3.) Urbana47
“One of my favorites at Monti area! A mix of period and recycled objects that inject vitality and energy to a 24hrs (almost) place: juicy breakfast, yummy lunch, gourmet dinner (reasonably priced!) and wine/drinks/deli all day around.”, is Barbara’s enthusiastic intro to her review of Urbana47.

4.) Porta Magica
Instead of dining spot, or dancing spot. We recommend one of Spotter AnnaLaura D’Errico’s favorite magical spots, the Porta Magica. “The formulas on the door, in fact, are said to contain the secret to the philosopher’s stone.”

Fassis (by Sabrina Favoriti)

5.) Fassis
We cannot list a top 5 op local tips in Rome, without listing one local favorite Gelateria spot! “Officially called Il palazzo del freddo but most commonly know as Fassi’s is one of the oldest “gelateria” in the city. It has been at the current location for over 60 years. “
